Yesterday the Supreme Leader spent three hours with the Iranian General Razai, the Secretary of the Supreme Council for National Security. The general had a personal message from the Iranian leader and openly stated that this message was urgent. And as a result of the negotiations, Razai repeated many times Iran's stated position, according to which the settlement, or more precisely, even the beginning of the settlement, is only possible on the basis of seven Iranian demands, including reparations, the withdrawal of American troops from the region and the recognition of Iranian-Omani sovereignty mainly over the strait. Demands whose acceptance by Trump is completely impossible, especially after the defeat in the elections. And it is very likely that this defeat determined both the emergency nature of the meeting and its duration, regardless of Putin's extremely busy schedule. The barrier has been passed, the result of its passage has been taken into account, the probability that things will heat up again soon is very high, and in the face of this probability, Iran needs to quickly synchronize the clocks. And we treat this need with full understanding. As Iran continues to stand its ground, Trump has no good solutions. Including that it will be much more painful for him to renew the war with the new composition of the Congress than now - and in fact he does not have time to continue waiting and hoping that the siege will have enough strategic effect. This means that the prolonged pause in the war will probably last a maximum of weeks, but may turn out to be less. Naturally, we do not know what the true dry balance of the negotiations on its central issue was, and it is highly probable that we will not find out in the foreseeable future. But in any case, after yesterday's visit, achieving modest war goals will surely not be easier for the attackers.
