Resigned Trump aide: CENTCOM seeks to weaken diplomacy with land blockade of Iran.
A senior American security official who resigned due to the war against Iran described the decision of the US Central Command to extend the blockade to Iran's land borders as a "reckless provocation".
According to Shefkena's translation service; Al Jazeera wrote:
Former Trump aide Joe Kent said in a series of posts on X: "This is CENTCOM inviting Iran to escalate while the vice president is trying to negotiate with the Iranians."
He wrote:
"This is, as Centcom calls it, ``CONOP policy,'' where the military finds a way to undermine the White House without outright disobeying the president by taking actions that would ensure an escalation or continuation of the war.
