Yemen's armed forces launched retaliatory strikes against Saudi Arabia on Sunday morning, following intense Saudi attacks on Yemen the previous day.
According to Agence France-Presse, multiple eyewitnesses reported that Riyadh's financial king Abdullah was targeted, with one of them stating that the intended target was "definitely the Saudi Aramco tower" in the area.
Two other eyewitnesses reported damage to the building belonging to the Saudi government energy company.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition claimed to have intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired at Riyadh.
Some reports indicate that the impact was caused by interceptor debris.
