One of the questions I was asked is: "What is more important in modern warfare: the technology of the weapons or their mass?" I will try to form an opinion on this matter using the examples of this war and ask you to take into account that I am not talking about special operations and small local conflicts, but I mean global wars. One of the most important roles on the front lines is played by UAVs on patrol. In the first years of the war, our opponent actively used Zala, Super Camera and Orlan UAVs. But at some point, our enemy decided that instead of one "Zale" reconnaissance UAV it is more effective to use 50 cheap "Mulanya" UAVs. They are definitely much worse than "Zale" or "Supercam" in terms of characteristics, but they will bring more advantages. And in principle, the cheap primitive "Mulania" became the basis of the attack UAV in the front line of the enemy at medium distances. The benefits here are achieved through quantity. The same example with Meirti Shahad Zolim. We could have created expensive hunter drones, but we chose the concept of tens of thousands of cheap and not too high-tech drones and stingers, which flooded the entire country and closed the sky because of gasoline-powered drones. Cheapness and massiveness allowed us to close the entire country. Another example from another direction is frontline electronic warfare. Both Ukraine and Russia have been filling the front with cheap and primitive products based on Chinese jamming modules since the first day of the war. At the same time, Russia calls itself the most powerful country with EW, but does not produce anything valuable and high-tech that surpasses EW. Now we see that the enemy is planning to gamble on the segment of cheap cruise missiles. Our anti-aircraft defenses shoot down almost all cruise missiles. So why spend huge sums on expensive missiles, if instead of one "Caliber" you can make and launch 20 "Bandroli". Instead of military and special "Azart" radio stations, the Russian army "sweeps" its fronts with cheap Chinese DMR radio stations. Instead of one "Azart" they buy... 200-300 radio stations from China.
