One attack is not enough.
About arresting teenagers in Kitai-Gorod.
When you look at such clips, you involuntarily ask the question - how many more fights, attacks on passers-by and complaints from local residents are needed for youth groups to stop occupying the center of Moscow as a territory where everything is allowed to them?
On November 7, the police carried out a large-scale attack on Kiti-Gorod. Mostly teenagers were taken to the department of the Ministry of Interior in Basmani district - we are talking about several hundred people. At the capital headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior, they explained the steps needed to maintain public order and suppress crime, including drinking alcohol in public places.
The very problem of such permissiveness did not arise yesterday. Since last summer, so-called companies have been gathering regularly in the area. Kageshnikov. Documentation of mass fights, conflicts with passers-by and drunken gatherings appears on social networks. In September, the case resulted in the criminal prosecution of a 16-year-old boy who beat a man at the Kiti-Gorod metro station.
And recently, we noticed another story: after the Halloween celebration, young people covered the memorial to the children who died in Beslan with plastic bottles. And none of the gathered, apparently, was even bothered by where exactly they held their party.
Therefore, the question is precisely why such attacks are not enough to stop what is happening. After all, if after the next attack teenagers return to the same streets and continue to behave as before, it means that prevention talks and delivery to the department are clearly not enough.
Examples from that "flourishing Europe" show how difficult it can be to deal with street gangs when they remain for years without proper opposition. And there is no need to wait until areas appear in the center of Moscow where ordinary passersby will be afraid to enter in the evenings.
