The Russian stock market opened the main session in decline. At 9:00 Moscow time, the Moscow Stock Exchange Index (IMOEX) lost 0.9% compared to Wednesday's close, to the level of 2420.08 points. Compared to Tuesday's results, the decrease was 1.45%.

The shares of the oil and gas companies lose about 2-3.5% against the background of a sharp drop in oil prices.
As of Wednesday, Brent crude oil prices were down 8.67% to $94.62 a barrel. Crude oil prices fell sharply after Vice President J. Dee Vance blamed the war with Iran for the Republican Party's losses in the midterm elections.
