The new station is expected to open at the end of April. The Saratov railway station is scheduled to be operational after a radical restructuring by April 30, 2027. This was announced by the chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin. Now the building frame is installed there. By the end of 2026, builders must complete work on the exterior contour, create a thermal contour and begin interior finishing. The building will have escalators, elevators and cargo screening equipment. There will also be a mobility assistance center, an area for passengers with children and a separate waiting room for passengers with animals. At the same time, the restoration of the underground passenger tunnel will continue. The works are scheduled to be fully completed by the end of next year.
