In the Saratov region, the number of those poisoned rose to 19. They ate dried fish, which they bought in a shop in Pugachev. The patients were diagnosed with opisthorchiasis, reports the regional department of Rospotrabendzor. An investigation is underway. The victims said that they purchased the products from the Pivezvod chain of stores. Earlier, information appeared in the media according to which on November 1, some residents of Pugachev in the Saratov region reported a deterioration in their health after purchasing dried fish in one of the stores. The regional health ministry reported that seven people were hospitalized.
