A US official told RFE/RL on Friday, November 6, that the Revolutionary Guards are deploying military equipment and assets, including weapons and command centers, in residential neighborhoods and near people's homes.
Emphasizing that "the Salami Republic does not care about the people of Iran," he added: "Evidence of this can be seen in the use of innocent citizens by the leaders of the government and the Revolutionary Guards as human shields, while they hide themselves."
The American official added: "They are hiding in fortified facilities and underground shelters."
According to him, in the event of an escalation of military tensions, the citizens of Iran must take necessary precautions; including staying at home and staying away from the Revolutionary Guards forces.
This US official stressed that under conditions of rising tensions, the safest place for Iranian citizens is inside their homes.
