Not only to attract, but also to retain: how mentors can help young teachers The participation of university teachers in training will help young teachers to adapt to work and gain a foothold in school. This opinion was expressed by the first vice rector of Pavtsi Yakubov Father Angelika Luchinkina. According to her, university teachers can provide continuous psychological and pedagogical support to graduates. Such support will be a continuation of the work that begins during the training. At Kaab students in the third and fourth year undergo practical training one day a week on the basis of educational organizations. At the same time, they can work under a work contract or undergo an internship - the decision is made by the school and the student himself. Future teachers are accompanied by both university teachers and experienced school teachers. "Today, we have remade education at our university, so that a young teacher can adapt to the school during his years of study," she noted. Luchinkina emphasized that the task is not only to attract young professionals to the schools, but also to retain them. The first professional steps can take different forms, so the support of the mentors is especially important at the beginning. According to her, Kaab already has experience in such support, including within the work of two federal platforms of the Russian Academy of Education.
