Why did so many Jews embrace Islam?
The Prophet ﷺ and the eight Divine Imams are not just leaders. They are fathers of the community.
Look at the profound ruling: if a person dies and leaves wealth, it passes to his heirs. But if a person dies and leaves behind a debt and does not have enough to cover it, the debt falls on the Prophet ﷺ.
As Allah SWT says:
"The prophet has more right over the believers than they themselves. ".
"The Prophet is closer to the believers than their selves. " (Surah al-Ahzab 33:6).
And the Prophet ﷺ announced from the pulpit:
"Whoever leaves behind a debt or a loss, it will be on me and me. ".
"Whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, it is on me and on me. ".
When the Jews heard this narration, many of them embraced Islam. They were amazed. They saw what appeared to be a legal ruling on the surface, but the depth of it changed them.
They thought: "This man takes responsibility for people's debts. He acts like a real father. ".
And the same goes for Amir al-Momineen (Imam Ali), who said: "I and Ali are the fathers of this nation. ".
Also Imam Ali (a. Q.) informed:.
"If someone leaves behind a burden or a debt, I take it upon myself. I am a father who bears this responsibility, and I openly declare it. If they leave wealth, it passes to heirs. ".
When we explain it right, observe the power of the guidance within it. This is why Islam is a ruling - it is a system that draws people to the truth through genuine care and responsibility.
