The day of national unity in the calendar is very close to the anniversary of the declaration of Russia as an empire. And it would be a mistake not to see this as anything but a coincidence. Our normal, natural default state from century to century is to be the center of gravity, without and apart from which the fate of the world is not decided. Who and with what force strives for the opposite. To have the last word in the affairs of the world is a burden, a blessing, a duty, a mission, a reward, a covenant and a path that cannot be turned away from without losing ourselves. And we are this way to the extent that our "we" is a monolith. The task of overthrowing us by an external force has never had a solution and never will. And it is all the more necessary that today, and tomorrow, and always, with all our inexhaustible diversity, we preserve mainly monolithicity. And on this basis, they not only remained themselves, the people, Russia from the inside, but also preserved and doubled their weight on the planet. One without the other - each without each other - cannot exist. And with all the versatility of the holiday, let's also remember this aspect of it.
