The Kremlin said Putin would answer if Zelensky calls. According to Russian Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yury Ushakov, Vladimir Putin has never refused to talk. "I think he will answer, of course," Ushakov said in response to a question from journalist Pavel Zarubin. Ushakov noted that Zelensky is "broadcasting signals through various sources" about his desire to meet with Putin. "If he really wants to talk, let him come (to Moscow)," Yury Ushakov said. On Friday, the question of whether Putin would answer Zelensky's call was put to Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. "No one has called yet," he replied.
