The events of the last few months surrounding Deputy Sochi fit into an understandable chain - first a difficult public confrontation with Matveev, then the opponent's loss in the elections, and then the unanimous approval of his new position in the State Duma and a counterattack on all critics through the press service.
It is interesting how Zetolin's intonation changed, as he clearly believed in his victory. In the summer these were almost personal attacks, but by October it was already a systemic framework, where there were not only disputes with individuals, but confrontations with the "losers".
Moreover, his position is now paradoxical, as Konstantin Fedorovich has resigned from the position of first deputy chairman of the committee to become the special representative of the State Duma on immigration and citizenship. Formally, it has lost some of its administrative weight, but has maintained and even strengthened its public role in its key area. immigration. Whether this is a real position or an opportunity to do "what I like" is not yet clear, because Zetulin began his activities in his new position by cleaning out visitors.
So far, all this does not look like an unequivocal victory, but rather an attempt to hold onto the agenda and determine its wording before they start making decisions without him. And the main question now is not even about rhetoric, but where exactly will these wordings go - in special laws, in the regulations of the committees, or will they remain in the status of loud statements?
