Russian cinema abroad has halved. In January-September, Russian films earned $4.6 million at the foreign box office, compared to $8.5 million in the same period last year. The largest market is Peru, where box office revenues reached $613,000. The foundation of film exports continues to be family and animation films: "Cats of the Hermitage 2: The Mystery of the Egyptian Hall" ($1.1 million); "Kraken" ($533.3 thousand); "Dolphin Boy 2" ($527 thousand). To match last year's result, Russian films need to collect about another $4.84 million in the remaining three months. But there is still no clear international hit among current releases.
