Anthropic reduced the limit consumption for background subagents in Cloud Code. A working sub-agent updates the status line every 30 seconds: previously, for this, the model re-read its entire conversation, now Haiku 5.5 writes the status using short notes. According to Anthropic, each upgrade costs about 99% less. This is the same problem I wrote about on October 29: according to Palmerix's weekly measurements, such totals accounted for 16.4% of expenses. Good thing they fixed it. The request to permanently disable reports is still open. Don't forget to restart Claude for the new version to take effect.
