Excelerate Energy has signed an 11-year LNG supply agreement to the Bahamas with AxDo Bahamas, a joint venture between Expo and Domicile LNG. The contract provides a supply of up to 16 trillion BTU per year, which is equivalent to about 0.3 million tons of LNG. First deliveries are planned for 2027 through Excelerate's existing infrastructure in Jamaica. In 2028, a floating LNG storage facility is expected to be installed off the island of Grand Bahama. The gas is intended for electricity generation, ship bunkering and regional distribution. (LNG Prime).
Wärtsilä has been awarded a contract to supply engines and propulsion systems for Delfin LNG's first floating train off the coast of Louisiana. The capacity of the plant is 4.4 million tons of LNG per year. The project is implemented by the American Dolphin Midstream. The contract concerns the equipment and does not indicate the end of construction or the start of export. (LNG Prime).
The Brazilian Enba and the port operator Vports signed an agreement on the use of the port area in the state of Espirito Santo. The area is planned to be used for the construction of an LNG terminal and thermal power plants. The agreement marked a new stage in the development of an LNG-to-power infrastructure, which allows the use of imported LNG to produce electricity. (LNG Prime).
