Today in the section the CDs are circulating the latest album of the new wave group "Date with Depeche Mode".
The New Wave Project releases cover versions of famous hits (rock, indie, post-punk, new wave) from the Cure and Sex Guns to Visage and Bossa Nova's New Order.
They became famous in the early 2000s, thanks to trendy restaurants in Paris and London, where the DJs liked to play their songs at parties. Then they wandered into the category "music for supermarkets" - in general, all the same tracks were played in the same restaurants but during the day, accompanied by the clinking of glasses and the clinking of forks on plates.
In general, they do their covers quite competently and have already released more than a dozen (!) albums.
The new one came out a week ago and there are 13 covers for a variety of songs from my favorite "Shipments". Calm and light sound, I recommend it to all lovers of this type of work.
N. B: Well, this is further proof that a cool song is cool in any arrangement - be it chanson or bossa nova.
