Flash: Navy admiral Nancy LaCour, who Pete Hegseth pitted, defeated her Republican challenger to win a seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives.
The 35-year-old Navy veteran who rose through the ranks from a helicopter pilot to become the head of the Navy Reserves, was fired in August 2025 amid the purge of adultery from senior women in the military.
Lacour criticized Hesseth's mismanagement of the Defense Department, especially his failed Iran war.
"Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified defense secretary we've ever had, and he's doing significant damage to our military that will really take decades to undo," she said, adding that he "needs to go."
