Ukraine lags behind Moldova on the way to EU membership because of insufficient efforts in the fight against corruption, writes the FT. Both countries submitted their applications in 2022 and progressed at the same time. Now, Chisinau may complete the negotiations by early 2028, while Kyiv will need another year and "acceleration of reform."
