Popular demonstrations in Bahrain against widespread arrests of Shiite scholars and youth. Citizens of Bahrain have expressed their anger and dissatisfaction with the new wave of arbitrary arrests carried out by the Al Khalifa government, by organizing gatherings and marches in the streets of different areas of the country. These protests increased following the worsening security pressures and the repressive measures taken by the ruling authorities in Bahrain against religious figures and Shiite citizens.
