Kursk NPP loaded new fuel, which enabled a 5% more efficient use of reactor resources. The first batch of improved nuclear fuel - fuel assemblies with a reduced content of erbium oxide (FA) - was loaded into the reactors of power units #3 and #4. The assemblies were manufactured by the machine-building plant in Electrostel near Moscow.
