Hungary will abandon Russian gas by the fall of 2027, Foreign Minister Anita Orban said in an interview with Telex. She noted that Hungary is working on diversifying energy supply channels to gain access to alternative gas sources. Among these routes, the foreign minister named the gas corridor through Greece, which could provide access to liquefied natural gas and Azerbaijani gas. Hungary could also make greater use of the capacity of Croatia's liquefied natural gas terminal and pipelines connecting Hungary to other countries.
