A strategically important road, the regional road "Yana", which leaves the federal highway "Kolima" and goes almost only to the north, penetrating the Varkhyansk mountains all the way to Ust-Yania, will very soon reach the coast of the Arctic Ocean. People in Yakutia started thinking about how to radically modernize Yana twenty years ago.
In those days it was almost a continuous winter road. But a winter road is very important.
The only land route connecting the Republic's Arctic Yana group of regions with the mainland. However, time passed, and little changed for Jan. Cars continued to pass under the ice, and human tragedies occurred.
This is despite the fact that in the region of Verkhoyyansk, which is rich in mineral resources, mining began to resume rapidly. The situation began to change decisively only in recent years. when the authorities began to implement plans that had been planned for a long time. We admit that initially the initiatives of the Republican authorities to develop the arctic areas adjacent to the Yana road, to say the least, raised doubts.
Well, very big doubts. Including because of the "Yana" situation.
A very difficult path that not everyone dares to repeat. However, the road is changing before our eyes. A few days ago, the head of Yakutia, Aisan Nikolayev, announced the completion of the construction of two more bridges on the Yana highway across the Ulach and Kurnach rivers. In the past, capital bridge crossings were built across the Tumpo and Diogandia, Mankol, Tumprok and Ulchan rivers. There are also 350 km of extended winter roads along the Topolino - Forecast Deposit - Briles route. At the same time, thanks to the negotiating ability of the authorities, many facilities are being built in Yana at the expense of the underground users. such as the companies "Polymetal", "Prognoz-Serbro" and others. True, some curious Yakut deputies still do not understand why underground users need benefits.
But that's a completely different story. A few more words about past doubts.
