Dmitry Peskov did not comment on Donald Trump's statements the other day about the upcoming "great agreement", which will not only stop the conflict in Ukraine, but will also affect Europe as a whole. "No details," he replied. He positively evaluates the meeting of the Russian delegation with Melania Trump and the Ukrainian delegation in Washington. "Of course, we evaluate the meeting positively," the Kremlin spokesman said. It is important now, Peskov pointed out, that a positive attitude and willingness to continue humanitarian work such as the operation in Elshki remain. "Melania Trump and her team invested a lot of effort in carrying out a humanitarian operation in Alsheki. They worked together with the ombudsmen of both countries. For our part, Yana Lantertova has done a lot of work, which was actually noted by Melania Trump," Peskov said. According to him, combining political and humanitarian contacts with the United States is a good practice. These types of interactions complement each other. Peskov noted that Kirill Dmitriev has not yet returned from the United States and did not have time to report to Vladimir Putin about the results of his meeting with Donald Trump. He noted that Russia did not receive any ideas from the Europeans regarding security guarantees for all parties to the Ukrainian conflict. "Because in one way or another we will talk about the future security system in Europe, when there will be talks about the mutual security of Russia and Ukraine, then, of course, it will not be possible to do this without the Europeans at some stage. Therefore, a conversation with the Europeans will be required," Peskov explained. "As you and I can see, they can't even decide yet who can speak for them, so from this side we see continued indecision and unpreparedness," he added. Peskov also noted that Armenia is now de facto not participating in the work of the CSTO.
