The damage of the Ramadan war to children goes beyond the human losses and the destruction of the schools.

Zahra Bharoz Azar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs:

In the Israeli-American assassination attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the month of Ramadan, the lives and safety of people, the lives of families and the health and education of children faced many harms and threats.

🔹 In this situation, families, teachers and responsible institutions all tried not to separate children's connection to learning and hope for the future.

🔹 Accompanying parents in the education of their children, the continuation of communication between teachers and students and the utilization of educational and public capabilities were the ongoing benefits of the solidarity of Iranian society in protecting the rights of children. 🔹 Today, in the yeshiva, each of us in the governmental part for which we are responsible, remember the victims of the Ramadan war, especially the children, students and teachers, and express our sympathy to the bereaved and injured families, we emphasize our shared responsibility in documenting the efforts of the families and teachers and presenting this narrative to the world, as well as condemning the assassin and the assassination in the schools. And the less visible consequences of this war, and the pursuit of responsibility and the realization of the victims' rights.

🔹 The American Israeli attacks on Iranian schools during the imposed Ramadan war, especially the ground attack on the Shajra Tiya Minab school and Lamar Stadium, were an illegitimate attack on Iran's sovereignty and currency and against the United Nations Charter. 🔹 We condemn this and see it as an act of assassination and an attack on children's lives and their right to a safe life and education. We condemn it in the strongest terms. The consequences of these attacks and the loss of precious lives, physical damage and destruction of educational centers are not limited, the loss of family members, teachers and classmates, displacement and disruption of family life, the insecurity of the living environment and disruption of education are the interrelated dimensions of these damages.

🔹 Increased anxiety, sleep disorders, excessive dependence on parents and decreased concentration are also some of the side effects of this war in children.
