🔹 Ismail Bakkai, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a question about the last letter of the Vice President of the United States to the Secretary of the Supreme Council for National Security and speculations about his tone and his unique proposals, said: differences in the tone and style of writing a letter, and something else can write or speak is natural or another way; But what is the criterion of judgment of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the objective performance of the American government. Experience shows that Washington not only lacks initiative in the field of diplomacy, but also destroys it whenever there is an opening for diplomacy. In the last two years, the US has been continuously beating the drum of war and disrupting diplomatic processes either midway or after reaching a conclusion, such as the Islamabad Memorandum, whose chief negotiator was the author of the letter, and was violated only two to three weeks later. To the extent that the President of the United States recently called this process a waste of time; Therefore, any diplomatic move from the American side should be viewed with extreme caution.

The initiative at hand is the Iran plan; The ball is in Washington's court.

Emphasizing that the only real initiative that exists is Tehran's proposal, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The diplomatic initiative is the same plan proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was discussed extensively during the visit of our country's delegation to New York, the views of the other side were received through mediators and mutual considerations were exchanged. The proposal is still on the table and the ball is in the court in the US, because Iran's demands are clear, sensible and logical. No agreement will be created and the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened or secured unless the American naval blockade ends and Iran's legitimate demands become operational.

Shaam's secretary is responsible for deciding on the answer to the letter; Possibility to implement the Iran plan within two days.

Regarding the response to this letter and the fate of the mediations, Bakay noted: Considering that the addressee of the letter was the honorable secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, he will be responsible for deciding the manner and quality of the response. However, I emphasize that this letter is not the beginning of any new initiative and the basis for any indirect interaction through intermediaries is the seven-step plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Based on our good will, we have maintained this mechanism, and if Iran's legitimate demands are accepted and implemented, the entire plan may be activated within two days, security will return to the Strait of Hormuz, and the negotiation process will be key. Its realization depends entirely on the will and decision of Washington.
