For families raising children with type 1 diabetes, extended power outages are a matter of children's health and safety. Electricity is needed for insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring systems and charging medical devices. It is equally important to ensure adequate insulin storage conditions.

And parents should not be left alone with this problem.

Last year, the state already implemented a program to provide mobile charging stations for children with disabilities from sub-group A. According to official data, more than 13 thousand positions were purchased. However, children with insulin-dependent diabetes are not automatically eligible for such support. Even if their medical equipment needs backup power.

Therefore, I appeal to the government to examine the possibility of expanding the current state support program and providing mobile charging stations to families with children who have insulin-dependent diabetes, taking into account their medical needs.
