International investors invested 89.3 billion dollars in equity funds during the past week, which was the second largest result in the entire history of the observation, Kommersant writes. The main beneficiaries were funds from developing countries, which attracted over 45 billion dollars. Of that amount, $34.5 billion came from China, an influx driven by large-scale purchases of ETFs by government agencies to support the domestic stock market.
