The European Commission has warned TikTok of possible fines of up to 6% of its annual global turnover over its recommendation algorithms, Bloomberg reports. According to the regulator's preliminary findings, the "for you" personalized feed harms mental health by engaging users in viewing potentially dangerous content. The European Commission recommended that the film be reformatted to comply with the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA).
