The Central Bank of the Czech Republic raised its interest rate for the second time this year by 0.25 percentage points, to 4% annually, Bloomberg reports. The regulator's decision is designed to contain inflation risks caused by high domestic demand and rising energy prices. It is expected that at the beginning of next year inflation in the country will accelerate and exceed 3%, with a target level of 2%.
