The Iranian Foreign Minister said: During the last 48 hours, I had separate telephone conversations with 12 of my colleagues from Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Cyprus, Turkey, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Iraq and Pakistan, during which we discussed and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, as well as the implications and consequences of the United States. During these consultations, I clarified the fundamental positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing the need to respect the national sovereignty of countries, stop aggression and threats, avoid destructive foreign intervention, and the responsibility of countries in the region to prevent the spread of insecurity. I reaffirmed the legitimate right of our country to protect its sovereignty and national security, and the necessity of establishing regional security arrangements independent of the intervention of external forces.
