The Investigative Committee of Armenia arrested the head of the Tashir group of companies, Samvel Karpetyan, on charges of abuse of power, writes Kommersant. According to the investigators, the violations in the Armenia Electricity Networks Company owned by the businessman led to losses of approximately 179 million dollars due to unjustified loans. In the past, the state authorities accused the company of creating an energy crisis on purpose and adopted a law allowing the nationalization of the property.
