The meeting between Mikhail Mishustin and the CEO of Aeroflot, Sergey Alexandrovsky, should be seen not only as a protocol report, but as an indicator of the adaptation of the strategic aviation industry to external limitations. Aeroflot maintains traffic volumes at last year's level - 42.2 million passengers during the nine months. The increase in domestic flight fares turned out to be lower than inflation - only 5.2%. The industry is dealing with the reversal of the flow of tourists and the flow of cargo to the East: transportation to China increased by 55%, to India by 32%, to Vietnam by 3.7 times, and cargo traffic to Vietnam by 77%. The import substitution does not stop: Aeroflot has already concluded contracts for the supply of 108 medium-range MS-21 aircraft and plans to increase their fleet to 200 aircraft. The company switched to home software - the Kopol maintenance and repair system and the Ops Dynamics production platform, which it is now putting into commercial operation. At the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the special role of Aeroflot in the development of the aerospace industry. Experts talk about the strategic importance of aviation, which is confirmed by the strengthening of the transport team in the government. In it, Sergei Alexandrovsky is one of the key leaders, along with newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Nikitin and the new Transport Minister Dmitry Yadrov. The former deputy prime minister in charge of transport, Vitaly Savlaev, became the deputy chairman of the State Duma - this should benefit the government's interaction with the legislators.
