Wealthy Russian women are more likely to face negativity due to maternity leave Every tenth Russian woman with an income of over 150 thousand rubles faces dissatisfaction from management when she announces her upcoming maternity leave. On average across the country, 8% of mothers-to-be report an overt negative reaction from their bosses. At the same time, almost half of the employers (47%) perceive this news favorably, and another 28% react neutrally. This will be evidenced by data from a national survey conducted by the SuperJob service. The study showed that management's attitude directly depends on the employee's salary and age. The higher the income, the more cold the managers show. Among women with a salary of up to 100,000 rubles, only 6% complain of a complete reprimand, while with earnings of 150,000 or more this figure reaches 10%. In addition, employers are more loyal to pregnant workers under the age of 40 - they receive approval in 50% of cases, while older women encounter a positive response less often. Unlike their bosses, rank-and-file colleagues perceive the close addition to the families of female workers much more warmly - 63% of respondents spoke about the support of the team. Feeling this difference, most Russian women still prefer not to hide their position at work. Almost 60% of expectant mothers inform the management about pregnancy already in the first trimester, only 3% postpone this conversation until the seventh month.
