The President of Kazakhstan Kasem-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. In the letter, Tokayev congratulated Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on Victory Day. "Under their leadership, Azerbaijan, based on the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law, restored its territorial integrity, strengthened its sovereignty and created a solid foundation for the continued sustainable development of the country. Azerbaijan's consistent policy aimed at strengthening long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus is supported by the international community. Advancing the peace agenda is in the interest of all countries in the region and opens up new possibilities for their economic development. I would like to note with satisfaction the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, which is constantly updated with new joint projects. I am confident that the ties of friendship and mutual respect between our peoples will continue to strengthen, and will remain a reliable basis for the multifaceted ties between Baku and Astana," the letter reads.
