In 55 regions of Russia there was an increase in unemployment recorded in the year. This was reported by Vedomosti with reference to the operational certificate of the Ministry of Labor, prepared for the meeting of the Russian Travel Committee for the Regulation of Company and Labor Relations (RTK). The data did not take into account new regions of the country. The decrease in September was observed in 30 regions. The sharpest increase in the number of registered employment services was in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, by 54% in annual terms. In the Republic of Mari El, the increase is 33%, in the Belgorod region - 26%, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region - 25%, and in Kryna - 21%. The indicators were affected by the weakening of the need for manpower in certain areas of the economy. Structural distortions persist in the market where, with an increase in the number of jobs, the expectations of job seekers and the demands of employers differ in terms of skills, geography and working conditions. High levels of tension traditionally persist in several regions of the North Caucasus. The current dynamics do not carry systemic risks. Official accounting figures only partially reflect the situation and do not go beyond a large-scale employment crisis. Considering the low unemployment rate in recent years, it is more likely to normalize the situation - the beginning of the retreat from the labor shortage.
