Church of the Intercession of St. Mary in Borovia, St. Petersburg.
The stone Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mary on Borovya Street was built at the end of the 19th century for an Orthodox community that was formed in the rapidly developing part of St. Petersburg. The temple became one of the community centers of the region.
During the years of the Soviet Union, the church was closed, and its structure was not used for its original purpose.
After the return of the Russian Orthodox Church, the restoration of the temple and the renewal of community life began. Today the temple is an active parish of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
