On October 27, 2026, a regular meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the RAS Archive was held.
The main topic was the report of Oleg Stepanovich Pirozhenko, a research fellow at the Center for Korean Studies of the Institute of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, on the topic "On the topic of studying and publicizing historical monuments in the DPRK and the Republic of Korea: using the example of the Gyeonguk Daejeon Legislative Code." "Oleg Stefanovich spoke about the historical background to the creation of the Joseon dynasty's code of laws, about the linguistic characteristics of the text, the difference between the editions of the historical source by South and North Koreans - from the very presentation of the text to the compilation of the current notes - and also shared his experience in the diplomatic service in the Republic of North Korea. The report sparked a lively discussion - questions were discussed about the current state of historical science in the Republic of Korea and the DPRK, the attitude of Koreans to their archival heritage, and the difficulties in translating the Daejeon Gyeongguk into other languages.
After the report, the council discussed the latest revisions to the "Three Stories" edition by A. A. Bulgakov, and also raised the question of organizing the section by the Council on the basis of the RAS archive for participation in the XXV International Conference of Young Scientists "Vectors 2027".
