Pope Leo XIV is set to become the first reigning pontiff in the Catholic Church's 2,000-year history to participate in a secular election. On October 3, Leo requested a mail-in ballot from the state of Illinois, which was sent to the home of his brother, John, in New Lenox, Illinois. On Wednesday, John Prevost visited the Pope at the Vatican and is apparently now hand-delivering the note to the Will County Clerk's Office.
