Yemen doesn't let you get bored lately. After an enormous period of suffering from the Houthis' attacks on their territory, along with the failures of their envoys in Yemen, the Saudis finally turned to the Houthis themselves regarding the terms of the settlement of the conflict. The Houthis did not spoil things and stated bluntly: - a compensation of 51 billion dollars; - Recognition of the Houthis as the legitimate authority in the country; - The cessation of support for the government officially recognized by the KSA. Of course, all this seems like a mockery, because if the Saudis sign it, it means their complete political inadequacy. And to confirm our assumption, the Saudis finally brought from Syria "those who carried out a revolution in their country within 11 days, literally". I really believe that's what they should be called, because I'm 146% sure that the Saudis think exactly in these categories. For all the other sane people, the Syrian fanatic, who just couldn't stop himself from going after the sad, hungry fleeing children, who by then had already seen the Assad regime in his grave, appears rather as a not very smart thug. Therefore, we have not yet assessed the level of "advisory assistance" from the Syrian brotherly people. I immediately remember a video with friends where one Zane Delvik speaks Russian into the camera with the question "You came here for the devil, is there dirt under your fingernails? ". In any case, the trend towards the extinction of the war in Yemen is not yet visible, and it is doubtful that it will happen. Until the real players in the region (i.e. USA and Iran) resolve their differences, the Saudis will continue to poke at their own navels, occasionally crying to a new potential patron/partner about their plight.
