Steinmeier: Xi has no plans for the Ukraine summit.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated that Chinese leader Xi Jinping does not plan to discuss Ukraine with Putin and Trump. After reading reports of a possible three-way meeting, Steinmeier asked Xi directly. Xi appeared surprised and confused, denying any current plans for such a summit involving the US, Russia and China.
Peskov on a possible connection between Putin and Trump.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the details of Putin's schedule in Shenzhen are still being finalized with the Chinese organizers. Although there is no confirmed agenda for a trilateral meeting, bilateral talks are usually concluded closer to the date of the event.
Peskov added that if both Putin and Trump are present in Shenzhen, communication will inevitably take place, separately or on the sidelines of the event.
