As the world begins to count yesterday I shared a video of a demonstration against Israel's policy in Japan.
And she got a whole wave of rage. They accused me of spreading fake news, offered to deport me from the country, insulted me and demanded that I be silent. But such demonstrations really happen! On September 8, 2026, protesters gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Tokyo. And Japan is far from the only country. Great Britain, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia In various countries there are demonstrations against Israel's military operations in Gaza, the occupation of Palestinian territories and settler violence. On October 10, thousands of people took to the streets of London. In Italy, the demonstrations spread across more than fifty cities, from Rome and Milan to Turin and Naples. Demonstrations were also held in Berlin, New York and Australian cities. And these are no longer individual speeches by a small group of activists, but an international protest movement. Of course, not every participant in these demonstrations is right, and not every slogan is worthy of support. But is it possible to simply close our eyes to what is happening? Moreover, the international response has long gone beyond the street protests. In June 2025, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway imposed sanctions against Israeli ministers Ben-Gvir and Smotrich. In May 2026, the European Union introduced new sanctions against individuals and organizations linked to settler violence in the West Bank. In September, 12 countries announced their intention to impose or consider trade restrictions on Israeli settlements. Some of the measures are already in effect, others are still being discussed. And none of this is happening because I wrote a post on Facebook. And not because someone shared a video from Japan. It is a response to actions and decisions that cause more and more serious international disputes and accusations. You can disagree with the protesters. You can visit international organizations and governments of other countries.
