A proposal to create a regional network for educational cooperation No child should be a victim of war and crisis The Minister of Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the fifth meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Ecological Education, explained Iran's three proposals for the development of educational cooperation between the member states and emphasized, with reference to the martyrdom of students and educators in the imposed war, the need to protect the right of children to education in crisis conditions. Alireza Kazemi called the establishment of the ECO educational cooperation network with the participation of universities, teacher training institutions and research centers of the member states as Iran's first proposal and said: This network can provide a basis for the exchange of experiences, the implementation of joint research and the development of scientific and educational cooperation by using the existing capabilities and at a minimal cost. Kazemi saw the development of cooperation in the field of new technologies and artificial intelligence in education as a second priority and added: the countries of the region should cooperate in such a way that they are not only consumers of technology, but will become partners with each other in the production of knowledge and new educational solutions. He listed the strengthening of technical and professional education and skills training of the youth as well as guaranteeing the right to education of children and youth in crisis conditions as the third axis proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized: a child must not be a victim of war and crisis. The Minister of Education also saw the exchange of students, teachers, experts and educational experiences between the member states as one of the important capabilities of regional cooperation and noted that these interactions are not only scientific cooperation, but a form of educational diplomacy that can strengthen mutual recognition, unity, solidarity and friendship between the nations of the region. In announcing the willingness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to share its educational experiences and capabilities with the ECO member states, Kazemi emphasized the necessity of turning joint decisions and memoranda into operational cooperation and said: The ECO educational institution can become a real community of educational cooperation when its decisions lead to real cooperation networks between teachers, schools, teacher training centers of the member states and the member educational states.
