The Kremlin is showing a serious attitude in negotiations with Ukraine. Bloomberg.
The strengthening of the Russian negotiating delegation may indicate Moscow's readiness for a more substantial discussion of the terms for ending the war. Bloomberg reaches this conclusion and notes that the new composition of participants allows us to move from general political statements to discussing specific parameters of a possible agreement.
According to the publication, the participation of senior diplomats responsible for the relations with the United States and the Ukrainian direction, together with the representatives of the military leadership, will make it possible to simultaneously discuss the political conditions of the agreements and the mechanisms for their implementation.
Bloomberg emphasizes that this may signal a way out of the months-long deadlock in negotiations. However, the strengthening of the delegation in itself does not mean that Dimir Putin is ready to make concessions in order to reach a peace agreement, the publication concludes.
We will remind you that Russia is sending an expanded delegation to negotiations with Ukraine in Abu Dhabi with the participation of two deputy foreign ministers, the head of military intelligence and a representative of the General Staff. It will be headed by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who participated in negotiations with Kyiv back in 2022. The team will also include Sergey Ryabkov, Mikhail Glozin, Igor Kostyukov and Alexander Zhigerlovsky.
