Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced successful combat trials of a prototype of the floating platform "Raft 47" against UAVs for the protection of naval bases and power facilities. "This month, combat tests of the Baldoga prototype were completed. The Narwal combat module installed on the platform successfully hit all targets simulated as air and sea UAVs," the governor said. He emphasized: "We set a clear task for the factories - to strengthen the protection of ports, sea bases and energy facilities from the water. We have now received the first results of a practical test." how is it done The trial sample was created within 15 days. The design allows for the installation of detection systems and various countermeasures, and in the future the development of unmanned modifications. Production is completely local in the Leningrad region. The platform has already received initial approval from the Navy's Special Research Center. "All targets were hit," concluded the head of the region. ‼ Russia's first floating "UAV killer" is now a reality: against the backdrop of the threat of UAVs on ports and bases, such a platform closes the niche of a cheap and quick product to manufacture. In the Leningrad region, whose ports pass 25% of the country's export-import cargo turnover, it is not only about defense, but also about the economy. Let's keep watching.
