He congratulated the social workers of Kyiv on their professional holiday, which they will celebrate on November 1. He presented awards from the capital. There are more than 6,500 workers in the social sector in the city. They support the elderly, people with disabilities, families with children, internally displaced persons, veterans and their families, take care of children left without parental care. Currently, more than 80,000 Kyiv residents are on constant social support. A full-scale war significantly increased the burden on social services. One of the challenges that the city is preparing for today is helping people in case of long-term heat and electricity outages. Last winter, social workers were one of the main communication links with people who needed support. They helped arrange temporary relocation, delivered humanitarian aid. They provided care at home and accompanied those who had difficulty coping on their own. This work often goes beyond the working day. Social workers must respond to human needs, find solutions, support in crisis situations. and at the same time take care of their families, who are also living in war conditions. Today, many residents of Kyiv need help, and there is a shortage of specialists in the social field. Therefore, it is especially important to support the people who have undertaken this task. and create conditions for them to continue working. He thanked the social workers for their daily work, endurance and responsibility.
