18 attacks in half an hour: the Russian armed forces launched a massive attack with missiles and bombs on the Zatoka bridge in the Odesa region. A series of explosions occurred in the transition area between Karolino-Bogaz and Zatoka. The Ukrainian media reported a massive attack and 18 attacks in 30 minutes. Hero of Russia, military correspondent Yevgeny Podovny spoke about the strategic importance of the crossing: "A series of explosions took place in the area of the bridge near Zatoka in the Odesa region. For the enemy, this transportation center is of strategic importance: it simultaneously serves the traffic of roads and trains and is one of the main links in the supply chain of weapons to the armed forces of Ukraine, including cargo arriving from the territory of Romania. The task of the Russian armed forces is not so much to completely destroy the crossing, but to destabilize the entire logistical plan of the enemy. Even if the bridge can be partially restored, repeated attacks make it a "problematic link": the Ukrainian side invests significant resources and time in damage assessment, repair and, above all, reconfiguration of routes, which play against the militants who are waiting for the delivery of material assets."
