Ecological Initiatives" The restoration of the red book falcon population Saker continues in the south of the Urals. In the historical and cultural reserve "Archaim" there was a release of young falcons into their natural habitat, for the third time in a year. Another 10 rare birds listed in the Red Book have returned to the wild. The project is implemented by the Kholzan Center for Monitoring and Rehabilitation of Birds of Prey with the support of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK). Before release, the falcons were prepared for independent life for almost a month and a half. They spent several weeks in a special flight complex, built of MMC metal, where they got used to the steppe climate and practiced their flying skills. This approach allows young birds to successfully adapt to wild conditions. The restoration of the Sax falcon population is part of the plant's large-scale work to preserve the biodiversity of the South Urals. In addition to supporting the Hulzan project, M. from. K deals with stocking the Magnitogorsk reservoir with fish and cleaning the city. Experts point out that a systematic approach to the protection of rare species and environmental initiatives yields sustainable results: the falcon population is gradually recovering, and the area is becoming an example of responsible business behavior towards the environment.
