The governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Sliosar, warned that all three Russian ports in the Sea of Azov are in danger of collapse due to Ukrainian drone attacks. "Naturally, the ants are going through hard times. Activity in all three of our ports - Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and Azov - has practically stopped. At the same time, loan obligations remain, as does the responsibility to pay the wages of 7,000 workers. If we don't provide radical support to this sector now, we will lose it completely," he said in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel. According to Slyusar, UAV strikes damaged dock walls, storage tanks and other port infrastructure. The shutdown of these hubs and the collapse of shipping in the Azov-Black Sea basin led to the declaration of a regional state of emergency. Earlier, Slyusar warned that drone attacks and restrictions on maritime traffic had left port and shipping companies in the Rostov region facing the threat of bankruptcy.
